At the Circus with Keith and Henri are going to Tubac

This painting is on the way to the Arizona Aqueous XXV Exhibition at the Tubac Center of the Arts, 9 Plaza Rd.  This National Juried Exhibition will be from January 13 - March 13, 2011.
The opening reception is from 5-7 pm.  I hope some of my Tucson friends can make it - Tubac is about 50 mi. so of Tucson, 185 from Phoenix.

4 Paintings at Peoria's Theatreworks

I'm happy that I am again a featured artist for the lobby at Theatre Works in Peoria - 8355 West Peoria Avenue. The exhibition will probably be there through Dec 4th. The featured paintings were selected because of fall colors or theme - mine are older but goodies! Sedona Sunset (Sedona Rocks #10), Pumpkin Roots, Over Kennecott & Ozark Autumn

ON STAGE accepted for AAG Exhibition

ON STAGE was selected for the Arizona Artist Guild Exhibition held in the AAG Building NOV 6-29. The Guild building is located on 7th Ave just south of Union Hills. The Reception is Nov 6th from 6:30 to 8:30. Hope to see you there!

AZ STATE FAIR - ALL 3 PAINTINGS ACCEPTED

All three of the paintings I submitted to the State Fair: Alley Oop, Winter Walk and Trio will be on exhibition at the Coliseum Oct 15 thru Nov 7. Closed Mon & Tues.

JAZZY NIGHT WINS AWARD of EXCELLENCE IN PFAA EXHIBITION

I am so Jazzed!! If I had read my newsletter before going, I would have known -- but let me tell you, it was a wonderful surprise to walk in for the reception to discover my painting right in the first row on the isle to my left -- and it had an extra tag on it!! (An extra tag is one that is not your name, title of the painting, medium & price - it usually says this is a prize!) This one said Award of Excellence. Hurray!! Many visitors ask me about the multitude of textures visible - they are intriguing!

In the show there we Best of Show, 3 Award of Excellence, 3 Awards of Merit, 2 Merchant Awards and 5 Honorable mentions!! It is a great show, well worth the stop to view!!

Sedona Rocks Abstract #4 in AWA Fall Exhibition

Sedona Rocks Abstract #4 was juried into the Arizona Watercolor Association Fall Exhibition juried by Ted Nuttall. The exhibition will be at the Fountain Hills Community Center 13001 N. La Montana Drive, from 10/2-10/28. Awards Reception on 10/15 from 6:30-8:30 at FHCC. See some of you there I hope!
